Endoscopic Spine Surgery
Ultra-minimally invasive surgery using a small camera and specialized instruments
Overview
Endoscopic spine surgery is an advanced, ultra-minimally invasive technique that uses a small tube (endoscope) with a camera to visualize and treat spinal problems. This approach requires only a small incision (typically less than 1 cm) and causes minimal damage to surrounding tissues.
Treatment Options
- Endoscopic discectomy
- Endoscopic foraminotomy
- Endoscopic laminotomy
- Endoscopic treatment of spinal stenosis
- Percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy (PELD)
Recovery & Prognosis
Most patients go home the same day or within 24 hours. Return to normal activities within 1-2 weeks. Full recovery typically takes 4-6 weeks.
